Richard Linklater Bio
Richard Linklater was born on Houston, Texas in July 30, 1960. He is one of the founders of the Austin Film Society.
His earliest work as a director was in the documentary short Woodshock in 1985. In 1993 he worked on Dazed and Confused, and it’s follow-up Everbody Wants Some! (2016). He also worked on Before Sunrise in 1995 and its follow-up film Before Sunset released in 2004. He executive produced another follow-up Before Midnight in 2013. In 2005, he directed Bad News Bears, and he worked on the TV series Up to Speed in 2012. He released his 12-year project Boyhood in 2014.
He was also the executive producer of the TV series School of Rock. He is the director and the executive producer of the untitled Richard Linklater project and the biopic of John Brinkley.
