Polina Goudieva, sometimes known by her stage name Contessa, is a Russian-born performer who is also the daughter of Russian pop artist Anka. She grew up practicing piano, and launched her career by moving to New York City, where she hooked up with production team Stargate and music producer and songwriter Sandy Vee. Since signing a record deal with the Ultra label, she’s collaborated with such electronic artists as Steve Aoki, Tiësto, Kaskade, Laidback Luke, Moguai, and Todd Terry.
Most recently her video for her single “Fade To Love” hit #1 on MTV Russia, and has appeared at electronic music festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Zoo. She’s been described as the “voice of EDM” for her achievements in Electronic Dance Music.
