Coming from Oklahoma, Turnpike Troubadours was formed in 2007. The band was composed onf singer and guitarist Evan Felker, bassist R.C. Edwards, fiddler Kyle Nix, guitarist Ryan Engleman, and drummer Gabe Pearson. Their music was influenced by the likes of Waylon Jennings and Woody Guthrie.
Their debut album entitled “Bossier City” was self-released in 2007. Then the album “Diamonds & Gasoline” followed in 2010 produced by veteran songwriter Mike McClure. In 2012, they released “Goodbye Normal Street” which was able to appear in Billboard’s country chart reaching the 14th spot. Their self-titled fourth album was released in 2015, which peaked in the third spot of Billboard country chart.
