Deana Carter, born Deana Kay Carter on January the 4th 1966 in Nashville, Tennessee is an American country music singer, songwriter and musician. With a career that began in 1994, she came in prominence two year later with the release of her debut album, Did I Shave My Legs For This? Which was certified five times platinum in the United States, and led to her hit singles Strawberry Wine, We Danced Anyway and How Do I Get There, all top charting hits.
Since her early success she has released six mote albums, including Everything’s Gonna Be Alright, I’m Just a Girl and The Story of My Life. With thirteen nominations for various awards, she has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, the most recent being in 2012 for the hit song You and Tequila.
