Brandon T. Jackson is an American actor and comedian born in Detroit, Michigan on March 7, 1984. He is best known for his roles in the films Tropic Thunder, Roll Bounce, and Lottery Ticket. At 18 years old he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy at the Laugh Factory and has opened for comedians like Chris Tucker and Wayne Brady. In 1999 he made his debut on television on the show Norm and has landed roles in shows like The Zeta Project, Raising Hope, Californication, Deadbeat, Drunk History, Wild ’N Out, Mr. Robinson, and has voiced characters in the shows BoJack Horseman and American Dad. He made his debut in film in the movie Nikita Blues in 2001. He has also had roles in the films Roll Bounce, Big Stan, Tropic Thunder, Days of Wrath, Fast & Furious, Lottery Ticket, Thunderstruck, and more. In 2006 he won a Black Reel Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and has been nominated for two more Black Reel Awards in 2008 and 2011.
