Joan Cusack is an American actress and comedian born in New York City, New York on October 11, 1962. She is best known for her role in the show Shameless and for her roles in the films Working Girl and In & Out. She is also known for being a cast member on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 1985 to 1986. In 1980 she made her debut in film in the movie Cutting Loose and continued landing roles in the films My Bodyguard, Class, Sixteen Candles, Married to the Mob, Working Girl, Men Don’t Leave, Nine Months, Two Much, A Smile Like Yours, In & Out, High Fidelity, Raising Helen, The Last Shot and more. She made her debut on television in 1985 in the show Saturday Night Live and has since had roles in the shows Peep and the Big World, Shameless, The Office, A Series of Unfortunate Events, What About Joan?, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Phineas and Ferb and others. She has also voiced characters in a number of video games. Throughout her career she has been nominated for numerous awards and has won a Satellite Award, a Chlotrudis Award, a Primetime Emmy Award and more.
