LIZ Y2K, also known as Liz and born Elizabeth Abrams (March 16, 1987), is an American Los Angeles based singer and songwriter. She made her mark in music with her collaborations with EDM DJ’s such as Diplo and Zedd. In 2012, she was featured on Zedd’s debut smash album ‘Clarity’ on the track, ‘Hourglass’. This was shortly before she was signed to Diplo’s recording label, Mad Decent, as their first artist in 2013. She released her first EP, ‘Hush’ under the label. The EP got the attention of electro pop artist Charli XCX and asked Liz to tour with her alongside artist KITTEN. In 2014, she released her debut EP, ‘Just Like You’, consisting of seven tracks, one of them being produced by Pharrell Williams titled ‘That’s My Man’ which then became a part of the soundtrack for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie. She then dropped her most widely known single ‘When I Rule The World’ in 2015 which now has 3 million plays on Spotify. Liz has worked with many big labels throughout her career such as Columbia Records, Monstercat and Sony Music Entertainment. She is now known as just LIZ on Spotify along with the release of her newest album, ‘Planet Y2K’ that was released in 2019 under Moving Castle Records.
