Richard Karn Bio

Richard Karn is an American actor and game show host born in Seattle, Washington on February 17, 1956. He is best known for hosting the game show Family Feud and his role on the television sitcom Home Improvement. In 1989 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He landed his first role on television in 1991 in the sitcom Home Improvement and stayed on the show for 8 years. He has also been in the television series Boy Meets World, Recess, That ’70 Show, Dirt, “Biz Kid$”, True Jackson, VP, Last Man Standing, Detroiters, and The Bold and the Beautiful. He has hosted several shows on television like WOW! The Most Amazing Acts on Earth, Chariots of the Gods? The Mysteries Continue, Family Feud, and Bingo America. In 1995 he made his debut in film in the movie Picture Perfect and has also had roles in the films Bram Stoker’s Legend of the Mummy, Air Buddies, Snow Buddies, F the Prom, Reality School, and several others. He has authored two books in collaboration with George Mair titled House Broken, and Handy at Home.
