Nils Frahm Bio

Nils Frahm is a German composer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was born on the 20th of September, 1982, in Hamburg Germany. As a child he learned classical music theory, as well as piano. His first solo piano works “The Bells” and “Wintermusik”, both released in 2009, gained him the attention of the critics, but his major breakthrough came in 2011, when he released “Felt”, his debut studio album. Soon after, he released the EPs “Juno” and “Screws”. In 2013, he released “Juno Reworked” which featured guest artists Chris Clark and Luke Abbott. In 2014, Frahm and David Klavins released a new piano called “Una Corda” which has one string per key. In 2015, he released the album “Solo” recorded on a piano also made by David Klavins. Frahm has collaborated with major contemporary artists like Ólafur Arnalds, F. S. Blumm, Anne Müller, and Woodkid.
