Hip Hughes Bio
American YouTuber and history teacher Keith Jon Hughes, best known online as Hip Hughes, was born on August 4, 1972. Hughes grew up in New York. He studied social studies at Buffalo State College and education technology at the University of Buffalo. In 1999, he started teaching history in high school. He posted his debut video to the channel on April 20, 2008, detailing how Hughes asked his history class to use iMovie to make a short film. Even though his channel initially did not receive much attention, he continued to upload. Throughout the years, Hughes' channel grew as he added additional lectures to his HipHughes History series. Hughes posted what would eventually become his most popular video on January 16, 2016. As a result of this video's approximately 3 million views, Hughes's channel's subscriber count exploded. The Hip Hughes channel eventually started to become less active in the years that followed.
