Zozibini Tunzi Bio

South African actress, model and beauty pageant title holder, Zozibini Tunzi was born on 18th September 1993 in Tsolo, Eastern Cape. After completing her degree in public relations management, she worked in Ogilvy Cape Town. In 2017, she started her pageantry career after becoming one of the semi finalists of the Miss South Africa beauty pageant. In 2019, she was crowned the winner and went on to represent South Africa at the 2019 Miss Universe Contest. She became the third South African woman and the first black woman since 2011 to be crowned as Miss Universe. She traveled across the globe for appearances and events. This included Sumba, Jakarta, the United States and South Africa among many others. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she also became the longest reigning titleholder. After her Miss Universe reign came to an end, she announced her acting debut in the Gina-Prince Bythewood directed film, ‘The Woman King’.
