Smooth McGroove Bio
American YouTuber and record producer Max Gleason was born in Oklahoma City on 5th December 1984. He is known by his stage name Smooth McGroove and is popular for creating a cappella arrangements of video game music. His musical career began at 11 when he started to play the drums. He began to teach music as a means to support himself. During his college years, he also posted MIDI tracks on Myspace but failed to gain any recognition. When he started a rock band in college he was also responsible for mixing the audio. After the band fell apart, he continued his career as a musician, starting out with raps about video games and eventually moving to creating a capella versions of music of video games like The Legend of Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Mario and Mega Man. With a subscriber base of over 2.6 million he gained recognition and was also featured on the podcast, ‘Upvoted’ by Reddit.
