Young Dolph was born Adolph Thornton Jr. on August 11, 1985. He has been releasing mixtapes since 2008. Young Dolph made his breakthrough in 2012 when he dropped a series of mixtapes High Class Street Music. By 2014, he started performing in nightclubs, and he also released the fourth installment in his mixtape. The rapper also released the single “Preach.”
He made all his music releases through his label Paper Route Empire. His album Rich Crack Baby featuring 2 Chainz, Boosie Badazz, and Gucci Mane.
He dropped the album Bulletproof in 2017 which included the song “100 Shots” made it to Billboard 200’s Top 40. This was followed by Thinking Out Loud featuring Ty Dolla $ign, DRAM, 2 Chainz, and Gucci Mane. The album made it to No. 16 of the Billboard 200.
