Justin Gaethje Bio

Justin Gaethje is an American MMA fighter, born on November 14, 1988, in Arizona, USA. He is a lightweight MMA fighter who rose to fame competing in the UFC, and in 2020, he finished ranked as the UFC’s No. 1 lightweight and 10th pound for pound fighter. 

Justin began wrestling at a young age, and he competed as a wrestler for the University of Northern Colorado. He debuted in MMA in 2011 and joined UFC in 2017. He is remembered for his victory over Michael Johnson, and failure against Dustin Poirier and Eddie Alvarez. At UFC 249, he defeated Tony Ferguson and won the UFC lightweight championship belt. He also won Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night. At UFC 254 he was defeated by Khabib Nurmagomedov by a triangle choke. Justin has also appeared in The Ultimate Fighter in 2005, UFC on ESPN in 2019, and UFC 249: Khabib vs. Ferguson.
