Yerry Mina (born on September 23, 1994, in Guachené, Colombia) is a Colombian professional footballer. He plays as a center-back at club and international level.
Mina's football journey began at a young age when he joined the youth academy of the Colombian club Deportivo Pasto. In 2013, Mina made his professional debut for Deportivo Pasto in the Colombian Categoría Primera A. In 2016, he joined Independiente Santa Fe, another top Colombian club. Mina moved to Palmeiras, a renowned Brazilian club, in 2016. In 2018, he made a high-profile transfer to Barcelona, one of the most prestigious clubs in European football.
In the 2017-2018 season, he helped the team secure the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey. Yerry Mina also became the first Colombian player to score in a World Cup when he netted three goals during the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia. After his stint at Barcelona, Mina joined Everton, an English Premier League club, in 2018. As a member of the Colombian national team, he played a vital role in Colombia's run to the quarter-finals in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
