Michael Paul Vaughan is a former cricket player born on October 29, 1974, in Eccles, Greater Manchester, England. He made his Test debut in November 1999 and represented England in all three formats of the game. He was the captain of England's test team from 2003 to 2008, the one-day international team from 2003 to 2007, and the first Twenty20 England captain from 2005 to 2007.
Michael is known for his right-handed batting style and right-arm off-break bowling. He was named one of the 2003 Wisden Cricketers of the Year. Michael was also featured on the cover of the 140th edition of Wisden. He was honored with an OBE (Order of the British Empire) alongside other members of the Ashes-winning England cricket team in 2005.
Michael retired from professional cricket in 2009, transitioning into a successful career as a cricket broadcaster and commentator. He became a regular commentator with Sky Sports, covering major cricket events.
