Michael Clarke Bio

Michael John Clarke, widely known as Pup, is a former cricket player born on April 2, 1981, in Liverpool, New South Wales, Australia. He was a right-handed middle-order batter and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He was part of the Australian team that won the 2007 Cricket World Cup and the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy.

Michael served as the captain of the Australian cricket team in Test and One Day International (ODI) matches between 2011 and 2015. In 2012, he scored two triple-centuries and two double-centuries. This feat placed him with Wally Hammond and Don Bradman for scoring a triple-century and a double-hundred in the same series.

Michael led Australia to victory in the 2015 Cricket World Cup. He also captained the T20I side from 2007 to 2010. Michael led Australia to an Ashes whitewash victory against England in the 2013/14 series. He played with notable cricketers like Ricky Ponting, Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, Brad Haddin, and Steve Smith.
