Mary McCartney (born August 28, 1969 in England) is a portrait and fine art photographer, filmmaker, cookbook author, and Global Ambassador for Meat Free Monday. She is best known as the eldest daughter of The Beatles' singer and multi-instrumentalist Paul McCartney. Her mother, Linda McCartney, was also a music photographer. As a child, Mary and her siblings traveled the world with Paul McCartney's post-Beatles band, Wings, until 1980.
She was pictured on the back cover of her dad's first solo album, McCartney, as a baby. Mary began her photography career in 1992 with a specialization in fashion and portrait photography. Her pictures, focused on capturing rare moments of unguarded emotion, resultantly became powerful personal records of the people and places close to her.
Besides photography, McCartney is also an accomplished filmmaker and writer. She has executive produced and presented three seasons of her Emmy nominated plant based cooking show, “Mary McCartney Serves It Up!” for Discovery+. Her third cook cook, Feeding Creativity, published by TASCHEN is a unique hybrid coffee table, portrait and recipe book.
