Mary Gutfleisch, known by her YouTube name Mary Doodles, was born on December 27, 1987, in Northfield, Minnesota. The artist, actress, and YouTube star got her start in entertainment after leaving Columbia College in Chicago to pursue a production job in Hawaii. After gaining experience working on successful shows like Lost and hit movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, she took her talents to Los Angeles.
While in Los Angles, Mary studied Improv at the Westside Comedy Theater and continued to work in production and illustration while freelancing on the side. Mary’s costume and prop work on the YouTube viral series “The Epic Rap Battles of History” won a Streamy Award in 2012. On Mary Doodles personal YouTube channel she produces various videos of painting, comedy skits. Mary performs shows such as the Improv Diary-uh, and an improvised puppet show called Never Been Fist, at the Westside Comedy Theater.
