Drumma Boy, born Christopher James Gholson, is a hip hop producer from Memphis, Tennessee, who relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004 to advance his career in the emerging scene. Within the next five years, he had produced a number of successful singles, such as “Shawty” by Plies, as well as multiple Gucci Mane mixtapes and credits on albums from T.I., Young Jeezy, and DJ Drama. He has also scored films, including “Blood First,” “Chapters,” and “Holla 2.” He has won a number of awards for his production, including Southern Entertainment Awards’s “Best Indie Producer of the Year” for three consecutive years, and a Grammy nomination for his work on T.I.’s album Paper Trail.
