Pooch Hall Bio

Marion H. Hall, Jr. was born February 8, 1977 in Brockton, Massachusetts where he grew up playing football, running track and boxing where he won the Southern New England Golden Gloves in 1994. He goes by the nickname of Pooch, which he got from his father calling him Poochy before he was born. He is an American model, rapper, TV and film actor known for his role as Derwin Davis, a football player on the sitcom The Game. He is also is known for the film Jumping the Broom in 2011 and the character of Daryll Donovan in Ray Donovan drama on Showtime. Hall plays Muhammad Ali in the 2017 sports biography film, Chuck, which is about Chuck Wepner as Ali’s opponent and the 1975 world heavyweight boxing tournament. His first acting job was a role in the film Lift in 2001 and that year he also played a part in Blue Hill Avenue. Pooch has been in several films, including Black Cloud in 2004 written and directed by Rick Schroder and a role in a mini-series based on the book, Miracle’s Boys in 2005.
