Mariacarla Boscono Bio
Mariacarla Boscono (born September 20, 1980 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian supermodel, best known for being featured on the cover of Vogue and her work in several high fashion runway shows for Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and Christian Dior. She has also been featured as the sole face of brands like Emilio Pucci, Hermes, John Galliano and Moschinoi. She has been considered as one of renowned fashion photographer Karl Lagerfeld's favorite models.
Mariacarla was discovered at age 17 during dinner with a family friend who was also a photographer. She finished high school before moving to New York to pursue her modeling career. In New York, she was photographed by several talented photographers, including Juergen Teller, Steven Meisel, Tim Walker, Peter Lindbergh, Peter Beard, and Mert and Marcus.
She earned a spot on Forbes' list of the World's 15 Top-Earning Supermodels. In 2020, she became the new face for Zara's summer collection and the model for Daniel Lee's collection for Bottega Veneta. She has also experimented with photography, styling and creative direction shooting herself for Valentino F/W 2020/21 campaign and for the Vogue Italia July 2020 issue.
