65daysofstatic is an alternative band formed in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England in 2001. Current members of the band include Rob Jones, Joe Shrewsbury, Paul Wolinski, and Simon Wright. The group released The Fall of Math, their debut album, in 2004 under Dustpunk Records. The next year, they released One Time for All Time, another album. By 2006, they started to work on their third album, The Destruction of Small Ideas, which was released in 2007.
In 2008, 65daysofstatic joined The Cure for their US tour and the released the live album Escape from New York in 2008. In 2010, their fourth album, We Were Exploding Anyway, dropped. In 2013, they released their fifth album Wild Light. The band was also the creator of the soundtrack for No Man’s Sky.
