CDQ Bio
Born on May 6, 1985, CDQ or legally known as Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf was born in Kwara State of Nigeria. He graduated from Lagos State University, and started to involve himself to music since 2002. His first concert was organized in a school, where big names like Dagrin, Jagz, M.I. Jesse, DJ Jimmy Jatt, and Wizkid were in attendance.
However, his debut started when he won a rap battle in December 2012 for the “Industry Night Show” at Oriental Hotel, Lagos. He then signed with Masterkraft for the label General Records. His first single was entitled “SAULA” which was released in May 2013. That single was widely received by radio stations and television channels. Other singles followed such as “WObi,” “Olowo,” and “Amen.”
