Los Cantores de Bayamon are large group of musicians based out of Puerto Rico that banded together in 1992.. The group consists of a wide range of rotating, professional musician. Los Cantores de Bayamon does not adhere to one specific genre. The group’s goal is to preserve their nation’s sacred and secular musical traditions, specifically Puerto Rico’s Christmas music tradition.
In 1993 Los Cantores de Bayamon released their debut single called “Te Llego la Parranda.” The song became a holiday hit in Puerto Rico. In the same year they released their debut album called Pa’ Ver Si Me Prendo. The album won a Diplo award for Best Christmas Album. In 1994 Los Cantores de Bayamon released their follow up album called Que Rica la Parranda, Oe, Oe and won another Diplo award.
In 1996 the group toured across Florida and Hawaii. The group gained popularity and released Christmas albums regularly every single year. The albums showed marked improvement in musical style and sales. Their most recent release came in 2016 with the album Puerto Rico Es una Fiesta.
