Chris Hoy, sometimes known as Sir Christopher Andrew Hoy, is a Scottish race car driver, cyclist, and Olympian who was born on March 23rd, 1976, in Edinburgh, Scotland. At a very young age, he began cycling, and until 1991, he competed in bicycle motocross races. He also started rowing, track cycling, sprinting, and mountain biking. He was a student at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a bachelor's degree in sports science in 1999. Throughout his career, he has earned six Olympic gold medals. His first Olympic gold medal was earned in the 2004 Summer Games, and he went on to win three more in the 2008 Summer Games, two more in the 2012 Summer Games, and one more in the 2016 Summer Games. Moreover, at the 2000 Olympics, he also attained a silver medal.
