Leroy McClain (born in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England) is a British-American actor, best known for portraying the character, Shy Baldwin on Amazon Prime Show, ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’. He has also done extensive stage work on Broadway, across the United States and beyond.
He holds an MFA from Yale School of Drama and studied at the National Theatre Acting Studio (London). In 2011, he appeared in The Adjustment Bureau. He also appeared at the Goodman in The Convert. In 2013, he returned to the screen with the film, The Happy Sad. He has also appeared in other television projects including Rubicon; Law & Order: Criminal Intent; Guiding Light; Breaking In and The Stage.
McClain thoroughly enjoys acting on stage. On Broadway, he has appeared on Cymbeline and The History Boys. Off Broadway, he has appeared in Milk Like Sugar, Born Bad, Measure for Measure, Othello, The Good Negro, Oroonoko, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, Huck & Holden and In Search of Stanley Hammer.
