Frank Marshall was born on September 13, 1946, in Glendale, California. Marshall is the son of guitarist, conductor, and composer, Jack Marshall. He is a film producer and director, and has often collaborated with his wife, Kathleen Kennedy. In 1985, he served as executive producer to the successful movie Back to the Future. In 1991, he and his wife created The Kenndy/Marshall Company, a film production company contracted with Dreamworks. Frank has collaborated on numerous projects with Steven Spielberg. Between 1991 and 2012, his joint film production company has produced several critically acclaimed movies, such as The Sixth Sense, Signs, Seabiscuit, the Bourne series, and the documentary The Armstrong Lie. In addition to his film productions career, he has also performed music shows under the moniker “Dr. Fantasy” or “DJ Master Frank.”
