Evanna Lynch was born on August 16, 1991 in Termonfeckin, Ireland. She is best known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies. She was in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part I, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part II. She also voiced her character for the corresponding video games and the Lego Dimensions game.
Since Harry Potter, she has had film roles in: GBF, Dynamite: A Cautionary Tale (also called, Addiction: A 60’s Love Story), Danny and the Human Zoo, and My Name is Emily. She has guest starred on an episode of Sinbad, and the pilot episode of Apex. She has had roles on stage in: A Very Potter Senior Year, Houdini, and Disco Pigs. She was nominated for a Young Artist Award and an Irish Film and Drama Award. She won Best Supporting Actress at the Scream Awards.
She has done some modeling work for Katrin Thomas and Ciaran Sweeney. She was on the Fall 2012 cover of Runway Magazine. She wrote an essay titled “Why the Body Bend is My Nightmare”. The essay discusses her battle with anorexia nervosa. She has also recorded an abridged audiobook of “Foster”, by Claire Keegan.
