Eoin Joseph Gerard Morgan is a former cricket player born in Dublin, Ireland, on September 10, 1986. He represented both Ireland and England at the international level. He gained recognition as an inventive and free-stroking middle-order batsman, particularly in limited-overs formats. His career began with the Irish youth teams at the Under-17 and Under-19 levels.
Eoin made his ODI debut for Ireland in 2006 and later for England in 2009. He played county cricket for Middlesex from 2005 to 2023. He played for several T20 teams, such as Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sydney Thunder, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Peshawar Zalmi.
Eoin won the ICC World Twenty20 with England in 2010. The team reached the finals of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20. In 2019, He led England to her first ICC Cricket World Cup in a thrilling final against New Zealand at Lord's. After his international retirement in June 2022, Eoin became a cricket commentator.
