Tom Hiddleston Bio
Tom Hiddleston was born on February 9, 1981 in London, England. Diana Hiddleston, a former stage manager, introduced her son, Tom, to the world of theatre and movies. He went to Eton College and the University Of Cambridge where he acted in school productions. His first film outside the school was The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (2001). After his role in The Gathering Storm(2002), Tom shifted his focus to English theatre. He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2005. He won The Laurence Olivier Award For Best Newcomer in a Play for his role in the play Cymbeline in 2008.
His role in the hit Thor (2001) is responsible for his introduction to global stardom. His continued appearance in Marvel’s Thor and Avengers franchises have earned him a legion of fans and admirers. His most notable award was a Golden Globe Award for his role in the tv mini-series The Night Manager (2016). Other appearances include Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).
