Zoey Dollaz, born Elvis Millard on October 2nd, 1990 in Miami, Florida is an American rapper of Haitian descent. He began rapping at the age of 12 and cites New York legends Jay-Z and Nas as his major influences to his style of music.
Dollaz released his first mix-tape, Love, Money & Bullets in 2012 on SoundCloud. Three years later, his single “Blow a Check” off of his Who Don’t Like Dollaz mix-tape received a large amount of radio airplay and attracted the attention of Sean “Puffy” Combs. He went on to remix the track with Diddy and French Montana and was included as the final track on Puffy’s MMM album. The song peaked at number 49 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 2016.
Soon after the release of the remix, Zoey Dollaz caught the attention of Future. Future signed him to his Freebandz label, an imprint of Epic Records. Following his signing, Zoey Dollaz released two mixtapes in 2016 on the label, Nobody’s Safe and Port-Au-Prince.
