Keesha Sharp Bio

Keesha Ulricka Sharp, professionally known as Keesha Sharp, is an American actress, writer, and director born on June 9, 1973 in Rochester, New York. She started her impressive career on stage, and in 2000, she began appearing on on-screen projects such as Welcome to New York (2000) and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001). In 2002, she joined the cast of Girlfriends, a sitcom, as Monica Charles. She started out as a recurring character, but by the show’s seventh season, she was promoted to a series regular. In 2010, she appeared on another television sitcom entitled Are We There Yet? as one of the main cast. In 2014, she wrote and starred in the short The 636, a project that gave her a Best Actress award from the NYLA International Film Festival. She played Dale Cochran in the award-winning series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story in 2016. That year, she also started appearing on the television reboot of Lethal Weapon as Trish Murtaugh.
