Susie Wolff Bio

Suzanne Stoddart, popularly known as Susie Wolff, was born on December 6, 1982, in Oban, Scotland. She is a former professional racing driver and the current CEO of Venturi Formula E Team. Her racing career began in karting at eight, and she progressed to Formula Renault and Formula Three. In 2012, she was signed by the Williams Formula One team as a development driver, making her one of the few women to be involved in F1 in this capacity.

Wolff's role in Formula One expanded over the years, and she participated in the 2014 British Grand Prix weekend, becoming the first woman to participate in a Formula One race weekend in 22 years. Although she never competed in a Grand Prix, her involvement significantly broke gender barriers in the sport.

In addition to her racing career, Wolff has been a prominent figure in promoting women in motorsport. She launched the Dare to be Different campaign in 2016, aimed at increasing female participation in all aspects of motorsport. Her efforts have been recognized with various awards and honors, including an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Edinburgh for her contribution to motorsport.
