Kerry Ellis was born on May 6th, 1979 in Haughley, England. She is a singer and actress based out of the U.K. She began dancing and acting at a young age at the Ann Holland School of Theatre and Dance. She performed in local productions of the Wizard of Oz. In college she discovered her love for music and cites Liza Minnelli, Elaine Paige, and Barbara Streisand as her musical influences.
At 21 years old she debuted as lead understudy in the West End production of My Fair Lady. She also performed in the productions of Miss Saigon and Les Miserables. In 2006 she was in the stage production of Wicked on Broadway. In 2009 she joined the Symphonic Queen Spectacular tour as a lead vocalist. She was also featured on Only Men Aloud’s album Band of Brothers on the track “Somebody to Love.” Kerry released her debut album, Anthems, in 2010. She partook on a tour of the U.K. in support of her new album and the album itself peaked at number 15 on the UK charts.
