The Rifles is an alternative group formed in 2003 in London, England. It is currently made up of Lucas Crowther, Grant Marsh, Dean Mumford, Robert Pyne, and Joel Stoker. The group debuted as a group in 2004 and Zane Lowe from BBC Radio 1 and NME noticed the group. In 2005, the group released “When I’m Alone.” The group’s biggest success was the release of “Local Boy” which made it to U.K.’s Top 40 hits.
In 2006, the group released their debut album, No Love Lost, and it managed to climb to the UK charts peaking at No. 68. The Rifles released their sophomore album, Great Escape, in 2009. Other albums by The Rifles are Freedom Run, None the Wiser, and Big Life. The most recent effort from the group is The Rifles Unplugged Album: Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 2017.
