Volumes is an American progressive metalcore band, founded in 2009 and based in Los Angeles, California. It was started by guitarists and songwriters Diego Farias and Daniel Braunstein, soon joined by dual-lead singers Michael Barr and Diego’s brother, Gus Farias, Raad Soudani (bass player) and Chris Khoury (drummer). The sound of the band has heavy metal, hip-hop, jazz, and classical influences. Their first EP was named “The Concept of Dreaming” and was released in 2010. Their debut album, named “Via” followed in 2011 and in 2014 they released a second album titled “No Sleep”. Both “Via” and “No Sleep” scored No.1 on the iTunes Rock and Metal charts. The band has toured alongside Arsonists Get All the Girls, The Contortionist, and Structures, and it has been credited as an important contributor to the djent scene.
