Angela Lansbury was born Angela Brigid Lansbury on the 16th of October 1925 in London and is a British-American-Irish actress whose career has spanned several decades, she began in Hollywood with roles during the 1040’s and 1950’s that include Gaslight, The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Harvey Girls, The Three Musketeers and many more. Coming to international acclaim in the 1960’s and 1970’s for her performances is The Manchurian Candidate, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks, to name a few.
With voice roles that include Mrs. Potts in Disney’s animated feature, Beauty and the Beast and the Dowager Empress in the animated feature, Anastasia. In the 21st Century, the actress has been just as active, with roles in the children’s film, Nanny McPhee and Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Also known for an extensive television career, the actress was given an Honorary Academy Award for her years in cinema.
