Roupa Nova (literally "New Clothes") was a popular Brazilian soft rock band in the 1980s and early 1990s. Their music has been compared to that of Toto, an American rock band. The band has sold over ten million albums and has 25 hit singles, with ten of them reaching number one.
Cléberson Horsth, bassist Nando, guitarist Kiko, and singer Paulinho created the band Os Famks in 1970 under the name Os Famks. The band released the single Hoje ainda é day de Rock with this lineup (Today is still the day for Rock).
They were joined by pianist and guitarist Ricardo Feghali and drummer Serginho Herval in 1975, after changing their name to Os Motokas.
The band is renamed Roupa after signing a record deal with Polygram.
