More popularly known by his stage name Lil Aaron, Aaron Jennings Puckett is an Indianapolis-based rapper, singer, and composer. As a composer, he has written songs for Blackbear, Liam Payne, Hailee Steinfeld, Dev, and Kiiara. He helped write Lizzo's Grammy-winning album Cuz I Love You, awarded the Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2019.
Puckett started as a composer, writing songs for famous singers like Travis Mills, DRAM, and Kiiara. However, he later developed an interest in performing the songs he wrote, leading to him launching a solo career in 2016 with the single "Damn," which was produced by Y2K.
Rap and rock have been used to describe Puckett's songs. Mainly described as genre-defying by the press, his style combines pop-punk, rap, and pop features.
