Matt Anderson Bio

Matthew John Anderson, better known as Matt Anderson, is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter and opposite. He was born in Buffalo, New York, United States, on April 18, 1987.

Matt began his professional volleyball career in 2008 when he joined Hyundai Capital. He has since had an eventful career that has seen him represent many international volleyball clubs, including Volley Callipo, Modena Volley, Zenit Kazan, Shanghai Golden Age, Sir Safety Perugia, and Zenit Saint Petersburg. 

His club career highlights include winning the CEV Champions League four times, the FIVB Club World Championship, the Russian SuperCup, the Russian Championship, and Italian Cup.

In 2016, won bronze in the volleyball event at the 2016 Rio Olympics in an American team that also featured David Lee, Aaron Russell, Taylor Sander, and Reid Priddy.
