Melvin Odoom is an English comedian, radio DJ, and TV host who was born on July 30, 1980. He studied Media Performance and Radio at the University of Luton, currently the University of Bedfordshire, where he graduated in 2001. He began his career in 2002 when he starred in the children's tv show “Dick and Dom In da Bungalow”, presented by Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood until 2006. He became popular when he started co-hosting “Kiss and Breakfast” radio show on Kiss 100 alongside Rickie Haywood-Williams and Charlie Hedges, for which they ended up winning Silver at Sony Radio Awards in 2009. This show had over 2 million weekly listeners. In 2019 they changed to BBC Radio 1 when the trio started presenting late at night but are currently presenting the mid-morning slot. In 2016 he was a contestant on the 14th season of the tv reality show “Strictly Come Dancing”, where his partner was Janette Manrara. They didn’t last much in the competition as they were the first to be eliminated. However, they ended up winning that year's Christmas special of the show.
