Chester Jermaine “Lyfe” Jennings was born on June 3, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio. He is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and instrumentalist. Lyfe plays three instruments: guitar, bass, and piano, which he incorporates into all of his music. The New York Times has referred to him as a “socially minded R&B singer.”
Lyfe started his music career in 2003, and he has recorded with many recording labels including Sony Music Entertainment, RED Warner Bros. Records, Asylum Records and eOne Music. Lyfe has collaborated on projects with other popular artists such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Bun B.
