Tim Gunn, born Timothy MacKenzie Gunn on July 29th 1953 in Washington D.C and is an American actor, author, voice actor, television personality and fashion consultant. Having attended the Corcoran College of Art and Design as well as Yale University, Gunn served on the faculty of the Parsons The New School for Design for almost two decades and also served as the chair of fashion design at the school, eventually becoming a chief creative officer there.
Best known for mentoring designers on the reality television show Project Runway for all sixteen seasons, he is well known for his blunt nature and extensive design knowledge, this led to two spin offs, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Star and Under the Gunn, he has also written five books. As an actor and voice actor, he has been featured in Family Guy, The Smurfs and Inside Amy Schumer.
