Melanie Laurent was born on the 21st of February 1983 in Paris and is a French director, screenwriter, pianist, singer and actress. The actresses career began at the age of sixteen and is well known for French films such as Un pont entre deux rives, Jusqu’à toi as well as Don’t Worry I’m Fine and Room of Death before her Hollywood debut.
Cast as Shosanna Dreyfus in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, a film in which she worked alongside Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender, her role in the film was critically praised and the actress went on to work in Hollywood further, with films such as Beginners as Anna, Estefania in Night Train to Lisbon and 2015’s critically acclaimed, Angelina Jolie directed film, By the Sea as Lea.
