Dermot O’Leary, born Sean Dermot Fintan O’Leary, Jr. was born on the 24th of May 1973 in Essex, England and is a British-Irish television host and radio presenter. With a radio career that started with time on Essex Radio, he went on to be a presenter at Channel 4 and presented Big Brother’s Little Brother from 2001 onwards.
In 2007, O’Leary became the host of X Factor, where he remained for eight years as a fan favourite host, after a brief hiatus he came back to the show to acclaim. As a radio jockey, O’Leary currently presents the breakfast show BBC Radio 2. In television his most recent hosting jobs include the BRIT Awards and Children in Need as well as This Morning.
