Martha Alicia Villarreal Esparza (who’s popularly known as Alicia Villarreal) is a Mexican singer and songwriter who was born on August 31st 1971 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was born and raised in Mexico with her brother Jose.
Alicia rose to fame as an award-winning singer known for her hit 2006 album Orgullo De Mujer. She is also well known as a member of the Mexican band Grupo Limite and also as the winner of the Best New Artist at the 9th Lo Nuestro Awards. Her fourth solo album La Jefa (2009) debuted at number one spot on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart. David Bisbal appeared as a guest artist on her 2004 single Tu Ausencia. Alicia appeared on Bustamante’s 2016 album Amor de los dos.
