The Acacia Strain Bio

The Acacia Strain is a Metalcore band formed in 2001 in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Their debut album “...And Life Is Very Long” went out in 2002 through Devils Head Records label, followed by “3750” (2004), “Dead Walk” (2006), “Continent” (2008), “Wormwood” (2010), “Death is the Only Mortal” (2012), “Coma witch” (2014), “Gravebloom” (2017), “It Comes in Waves” (2019), and “Slow Decay” (2020). This latter album was preceded by 5 7” vinyl, each named with a single letter that, together, spell the word “DECAY”. “Continent” topped the 2008 “Heatseekers” Billboard Chart. They also have released a Live CD-DVD called “Most Known Unknown”. After some changes in their lineup, their 2020 album featured Vincent Bennett on lead guitars, Kevin Boutot on drums, Devin Shidaker on lead guitar, Griffin Landa on bass, and Tom Smith Jr. on rhythm guitar.
