Armand Gustav Duplantis, better known as Mondo Duplantis or Armand Duplantis, is a Swedish-American professional athlete who competes in the pole vault event. He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, United States, on November 10, 1999.
From an early age, Duplantis demonstrated remarkable talent and passion for pole vaulting, setting numerous records during his high school career. As he transitioned to the professional circuit, Duplantis continued to showcase his extraordinary abilities. Since turning professional, Duplantis has amassed an impressive list of accolades and achievements. Notably, he shattered the world record in the men's pole vault, clearing a height of 6.18 meters (20 feet 3 ¼ inches) in February 2020.
His consistent dominance in the sport has earned him multiple gold medals at prestigious international events, including the European Athletics Championships and the World Athletics Indoor Championships.
