Iyamah Bio

Sophie Bond, known by her online moniker Iyamah, is a British-born singer and songwriter who was born and raised on the Southern coast of England. She was born to a Nigerian-English father and a British mother. Her early inspirations were female powerhouses like Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, and Adele.

Iyamah discovered R&B which she incorporated into her debut single Cryptic Love. The single was released in 2018. Since then she has supported Mahalia and Masego on their tours and her first headline show at London’s legendary Jazz Cafe was sold out. Iyamah’s debut EP Truth EP. 1 appeared in 2019 as part of two projects with 10 tracks. She also shared how she’s grown as an artist in some BAEwatch series. Some of her most popular songs are Seasons and Cryptic Love. Iyamah was featured on Joe Hertz’s album Current Blues alongside Collard, Pip Millett, Sophie Faith, Sam Wills, and Kaleem Taylor.
